Barndoor Strategy was delighted to help our client, The App Association, hold two briefing sessions in the House of Lords to inform Peers and MPs about the various issues impacting SME Tech firms in the UK.

A number of App Association members were joined their UK Country Manager, Stephen Tulip, in Committee Room G of the Lords, with Lord Clement Jones (Lib Dem) kindly chairing both sessions.

MPs and Peers from all parties were in attendance and were updated on issues ranging from Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) to rules around competition and mergers.

These are complicated technical issues which were communicated clearly with the help of demonstrations from the App Association members in attendance.

We were delighted with the response from Parliamentarians and their staffers and the promises of support moving forward were welcolmed by those members of the SME tech community that were present.
