The APPG on the Future of Financial Services, for which Barndoor Strategy provides the Secretariat, hosted a Pensions Roundtable in the House of Commons today.

The roundtable, which was part of the APPGs current inquiry into Income in Retirement, was chaired by APPG Co-Chair, Peter Bedford MP and Lord Sharkey. Other participants included Chris Curry; Director, Pensions Policy Institute, Michael Johnson; Independent Research Fellow, Social Market Foundation, Molly Broome; Research and Policy Lead, NEST, Jan Shortt; General Secretary, National Pensioners Convention, Anjie Mukhi; Public Affairs Advisor, Association of British Insurers (ABI), and Paul Waters; Hymans Robertson. Jane Morford from the Financial Conduct Authority also joined the session.

There was a detailed discussion covering a wide range of issues and viewpoints. The outcome of this session will be fed into the APPGs report on this topic which is hoped to be published soon.
