Barndoor Strategy today held a Parliamentary roundtable on Financial Education on behalf of our clients GoHenry. The session was kindly hosted by Peter Gibson MP.

The session took place in Portcullis House and in addition to Parliamentary attendees, the panel included Louise Hill, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Office of GoHenry, Leon Ward, Chief Executive Officer of MyBnk, Peter Komolafe (Conversation of Money), Olamide Majekodunmi (@allthingsmoney), and Tom Ahern, Senior Researcher at the Centre for Social Justice.

There was a wide-ranging discussion on the importance of financial education, especially at primary school age, as well as a number of takeaways from the session.

Most notable of these was the importance of developing a clear delivery model to put to the Government. This is something Barndoor Strategy will be working at along with GoHenry and other stakeholders in the coming months.
