Barndoor Strategy and ACT delivers Global App Economy Conference – Day 3

The final day of Global App Economy Conference (GAEC) 2026 is traditionally the wash-up day where meetings that couldn’t be fitted into the previous day or which were last-minute additions to the schedule took place.

There were further discussions with officials at the Department of Science, Innovation, and Technology and the Competition and Markets Authority and a number of further meetings in Parliament.

Undoubtedly the highlight of the day was a visit to the Apple HQ at Battersea Power Station to meet with their Developer Relations Team as well as enjoy a tour of their sparkling new London offices.

The day ended up with a well-deserved meal at the National Portrait Gallery (with two members unfortunately getting stuck in the lift there – something always has to go wrong at this type of event somewhere). Just one member of the Barndoor team had the stamina to make it to the late-night karaoke session in Soho, but that’s why he’s the CEO!

Overall, GAEC 26 was a huge undertaking and a massive success. It is the sort of event that makes everyone proud of the work that we at Barndoor Strategy do for our clients and what we deliver for them. And it won’t be long before planning for GAEC 27 gets underway in earnest.
