Barndoor Strategy CEO Havard Hughes attended a Nuclear Week skills event hosted by the Nuclear Institute which took place in the House of Commons’ Thames Pavillion. The event entitled Nuclear Professionalism – Building tomorrow’s workforce and the role of AI was heavily attended saw the launch of the Nuclear Institute’s position statement.
Addressed by Rt.Hon. Claire Coutinho MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, the meeting heard how AI was going to transform our economy but would mean even greater amounts of energy in the future. This was why Britain had to double down on reliable and abundant energy from nuclear power, and take radical steps to make it cheaper and easier to build. Professor Adrian Bull MBE HonFNucI, President of the Nuclear Institute, spoke on the progress made since the Institute’s strategy launch last year, celebrating the growth in membership, increased uptake in Chartership and professional registrations, and the biggest selection of training and resources now available to members.
